Jesuit Library Passport:
The faculty of Jesuit colleges and universities now has free borrowing privileges at all 28 Jesuit institutions in the United States. Access includes circulating and electronic materials, in addition to space for quiet study and research. To establish on-site borrowing privileges at other Jesuit libraries, please call Hannon Library Administration at 310/338-4593 or email Jill Cornelio at jcornelio@lmu.edu and request a Jesuit Library Passport Card.
For SCATLA (Southern California Theological Library Association) Graduate students:
The SCATLA card, functions as a letter of introduction. The bearer of the card has exhausted the resources of the home institution, and is therefore being formally referred to the host (or receiving) institution for additional resources.
LMU Theological Graduate students should contact Tony Amodeo for details. The host (receiving) library does not issue these cards to its visitors. (A separate SCATLA card is required for each library a borrower wishes to use; a single card cannot be used by multiple borrowers, or for multiple institutions.)
SCELC:
To obtain borrowing privileges from a SCELC library, LMU faculty must take a completed borrowing application from the William H. Hannon Library to the reciprocal SCELC library. To apply and receive an annual Visitor's card, come to the Circulation Desk of the William H. Hannon Library, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Faculty from other SCELC schools must bring a completed borrowing application from their home library.
Saint Mary’s College (Leap Program)
To apply for borrowing privileges, come to the Circulation Desk during service hours. All currently enrolled students, as submitted by Saint Mary’s College, will be on file at the Circulation Desk.
LMU Faculty & Staff - spouse or child
Spouses, domestic partners and children over 14 years of age, of any LMU Faculty or staff registered at the library, may receive limited borrowing privileges. Your family member will need to bring a picture ID, or some other form of ID if the name differs, e.g. a driver's license or checkbook to reflect the same address or relationship to the Circulation Desk.
Local High School Students
Local high school students are welcome in the library, but borrowing privileges must come through an agreement between the high school and the library. Please notify your school principal who can contact Dean Kristine Brancolini at 310/338-4593 or kbrancol@lmu.edu for more details.
If your school has borrowing privileges, come to the Circulation Desk during service hours where all currently enrolled students' names will be on file.
