Popular Reading Collection
The checkout period for books in the Popular Reading Collection is 3 weeks, with one 2-week renewal. Because these materials are heavily used, there is a $1.00 per day late fee, so please be prompt in their return. If you have questions, please contact the Circulation Desk at (310) 338-5709.
LINK+
The checkout period for LINK+ books for all patrons is 3 weeks. For LINK+ books, renewing online (3 week renewal) is really a request to renew. This request will be processed by the LINK+ system and will not be immediate or automatic. Please be sure to check back a little later to see if the renewal you requested was approved.
Media
The checkout period for media is 3 days, with one 3-day renewal. Items on Reserve will be limited to In-Library use only.
Recalls
You may recall any item that is checked out, with the exception of media and/or reserve items. The person who has the recalled book must return it within 1 week. You will be notified upon its return. You will then have five days to pick it up at the Circulation Desk. Please contact the Circulation Desk at (310) 338-5709 to arrange a recall and confirm your contact information.
You can also check the status of a recall at My Library Record.
Please note: All items are subject to recall after 21 days. A $1.00 per day fine may be assessed if returned late.
Fines
You are responsible for paying your library fines throughout the semester. Your library privileges will be blocked at $10.00; at that point, the fees must be paid in full.
You may pay library fees with your OneCard Flexi Dollars, check, Visa or Master Card at the Circulation Desk. There is a minimum of $5 that can be charged on the credit card machine.
Before leaving the University, please clear all your library fines and return materials that were checked out on your library card. Inquire at the Circulation Desk concerning any questions regarding your library record.
