Media Collection
Using the Media Collection
The Media collections are comprised of more than 60,000 items, ranging from DVDs, CDs, videocassettes, and Blu-ray to CD-ROMs, LPs, and microfilm. We have all of the Shakespeare plays on DVD, as well as many titles to be found in one of our online streaming collections. We have a great documentary collection and a feature film collection of new titles and vintage classics.

Renew checked out videos
(Items may only be renewed 1-2 days before the due date)
To RENEW: to your library record through the library web site. To do this, click on the Quick Links link in the blue navigation menu to the left of this page. Choose My Library Record from the dropdown menu, and follow from there.
Faculty: 1 week checkout / 2 renewals - 1 week each/ For more time, please see staff. .
Students: 3 day checkout/1 renewal – 3 days only/
Put media on Reserve
Faculty may put either library owned media or their own personal media (audio, video, etc.) on reserve so that their students will have priority access to the item.
Students will only be permitted to view reserve items in the library. For more information see the Reserves page.
Group viewing & listening rooms
The William H. Hannon Library has 4 group viewing rooms and 2 group listening rooms located on level 2. For information about reserving and using these rooms, please click here.

Our screenplay collection:
There are approximately 1000 screenplays, including all the published ones in the Main Sstacks, the online versions in the American Film Scripts Online database, LMU School of Film and TV student theses and a collection of photocopied screenplays on Reserve.
Search by Subject: Motion picture plays
All screenplays are arranged alphabetically by title. Find the title you want and click on it for the location.
If you know the specific title:
Search by film title or screenplay author:
The screenplay is indicated by the words Motion Picture in parenthesis or screenplay after the title. For example:
Graduate (Motion picture) : Henry, Buck; RESERVE: AVAILABLE
The graduate : screenplay : Henry, Buck; RESERVE: AVAILABLE
Your valid LMU OneCard or visitor's card is required to check out all library materials.
If you lose your OneCard, go to the OneCard Office. There is a $15.00 replacement fee.
