About the Information Desk
The Information Desk is located in the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation Information Commons, on Level 1 of the William H. Hannon Library. The desk is staffed by librarians and/or students depending on the time of day; please see library hours for more information.
You are welcome to visit us at the desk, or phone us for assistance at 310.338.2790 during our service hours.
•
Librarians can help you with questions about research using our print and electronic collections, and with formulating searches of our catalog and article databases. If you want help finding books, articles or other resources, come talk to us! Our practice is to help you learn to use our library successfully. So, come to the desk (or
contact us), and let us show you how to use the library resources best suited to your needs.
• Students at the Information Desk are cross-trained with LMU's
Information Technology Services Department. They can help with the basics of the library (where to find books, how to get around our web site) and can also help you with basic technology issues such as getting on the wireless network and using the programs on our computers. In-depth technology issues, and computer hardware repair, may be referred to the
ITS Help Desk.
