Computer Equipment and Software

The Information Commons at the William H. Hannon Library features 86 computers for use by students, faculty and staff. Visitors are also welcome to use computers in the Information Commons, although members of the LMU community receive priority at busy times.

80 of the computers in the Information Commons will run both Mac OS and Windows. Restart the computer to switch between operating systems.

There are 6 Mac Pro computers in the Information Commons. They are more powerful, only run Mac OS X, and are intended for multimedia content creation and editing. Only LMU students, faculty, and staff can use them.

Wireless connectivity is available throughout the Information Commons and the entire library. Printing is available from all Information Commons computers, as well as wirelessly from your own laptop.

A flatbed scanner with a sheet feeder is available for use at the Information Desk.
