Friends of the Library
Evolving with the changing academic and information resources needs of modern society, the library at Loyola Marymount University seamlessly blends superior collection depth, leading edge technology and expert support staff to deliver the world’s information to our students, faculty, and community. Today’s academic library supports the pursuit of knowledge and promotes connections between those who create knowledge and those who use it for scholarly pursuits.
The Friends of the Library provides needed financial resources to further the academic excellence of the library and the richness of its information resources. Contributions help with the acquisition and maintenance of rare special collections and archival materials, works of art, specialized circulating collections, and more.
The following giving levels and benefits will help you decide how your generous gift may serve the university and your personal interests:
Collectors Club $2,500 or more
Receive a mousepad, all of the Friends of the Library benefits outlined below, plus an invitation to exclusive activities and cultural events with the Dean of the Library.
Scholars Circle $1,000 to $2,499
Receive all of the benefits below plus a set of note cards depicting selected works from the university collection.
Authors Circle $500 to $999
Receive a library card with limited privileges (upon request), and all of the benefits listed below.
Researcher $250 to $499
Receive a commemorative bookplate placed in a selected volume in their honor and all of the benefits listed below.
Bibliophile $100 to $249
Receive a distinctive library bookmark.
Supporter up to $100
Supporters at this level contribute to the ongoing excellence of the library and are listed in the library annual report.
