Wireless Printing in the Library
Wireless Printing in the Library
To set up wireless printing to the library printers from your laptop, please see the instructions below. When printing from your laptop, you will still need to swipe your OneCard at the printer.
Windows XP/ Vista/ 7:
- To use the black & white laser printers: download the installation program. If you are running the 64-bit edition of Windows, use this installer instead.
- To use the color laser printer: download the installation program by clicking here. If you are running the 64-bit edition of Windows, use this installer instead.
- To print to the upper level black & white printer/copiers (levels 2 and 3), download the installation program for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. If you are running the 64-bit edition of Windows Vista or Windows 7, use this installer instead.
- After the file has been saved to your system, find it and double-click it to unzip (uncompress) it.
- Double-click to open the unzipped file, then click Install to start the installation process.
- When finished, click "Finish" to exit the installation window.
- The printer should now be installed on your system. The black & white printer name is "_Printer_WHH_LJ_9040" and the color printer name is "WHH_Color_Ricoh_FLEXI"
Mac OS X:
- You must be running Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. To see which version of Mac OS X you have, click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen, and select "About This Mac."
- To use the black & white laser printers: download the installation program for Mac OS X 10.5 through 10.7 by clicking here.
- To use the color laser printer: download the installation program for Mac OS X 10.5 by clicking here, and for Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 by clicking here.
- To print to the upper level black & white printer/copiers (levels 2 and 3), download the installation program for MacOS X 10.5 (Snow Leopard) and newer systems.
- After the file has been downloaded to your system, find it and double-click it. A file named popup.pkg will now appear in the same folder. Double-click on popup.pkg to open it.
- Click the Continue button on the next screens that appear, accepting all the default settings.
- Click the Install button and enter your password if prompted. Wait for the installation process to complete.
- Next, run Software Update (in your System Preferences) and click "Check Now." Follow the prompts to download and install any printing software updates that appear.
- Restart your computer (wireless printing will not work until you do this).
- The printer should now be installed on your system. The black & white printer name is "WHH_InfoCommons" and the color printer name is "WHH_InfoCommons_Color_Flexi_Only"
