The Arthur D. Spearman, S. J.(1899-1977) Autograph Collection (1925-1947) consists of 1 box (.2 linear feet). The source of the collection is uncertain, but it was probably left at Loyola as part of Spearman's administrative records after his term as a Loyola University librarian from 1937-1948.
There are two series in the collection: Series 1: letters and Series 2: illustrations.

Arguello Den, Ysabel. Christmas card, n.d. Ysabel Arguello Den was a direct descendent of Jose Dario Arguello of the Presidio of San Francisco.
Armstrong, Robert, Bishop of Sacramento. 5 March 1946. Announces a gift book on the history of Sacramento.
Breen, Joseph I., Director of the Motion Picture Production Code. 19 January 1940. Announces the gift of a silver Papal Medal to the university library.
Connolly, Myles, Catholic writer and scenarist. 21 October, n.y.
Field, Charlotte E. 1 May 1938. Mentions her father and promises her autograph collection to Loyola.
Fitzgerald, Barry. Hollywood, 23 February 1934. Under the signature is pencilled, "Father Fitzgibbon of Going My Way."
Jeffers, William M. (two short notes). 9 January 1931 and 24 April 1937. The first one is addressed to Spearman at Weston College, Weston Massachusetts. The notes are on the letterhead of the Union Pacific R.R.
