As head of American International Pictures and Arkoff International Pictures, Samuel Z. Arkoff carved a considerable niche in the history of American popular culture as the producer of low-budget exploitation films. In all, he distributed and produced over 500 films from 1954 to 2001 (the year of his death). The Samuel Z. Arkoff Papers chronicle his noteworthy career as a motion picture producer and executive.
