This series consists mostly of pressbooks for films released and distributed by American International Pictures and its affiliates. About a quarter of the materials in the series include poster illustrations and correspondence, as noted in the container list. Notable materials include pressbooks for AIP's Edgar Allen Poe horror films, such as "The Masque of the Red Death." Also found are biker films, such as "Hell's Angels" and "Wheels"; blaxploitation films, such as "Blacula," "Black Caesar," and "Coffy"; and beach party films, such as "Beach Party" and "Muscle Beach Party." The series also includes pressbooks for international films released or re-released by AIP, most notably Federico Fellini’s "La Dolce Vita." The numbers preceding the movies, eg, "603. Konga," indicates the numbering of the original filing system. Note that some materials in the series are damaged and are unavailable to researchers.
