Samuel Z. Arkoff Papers. Series 2: Subseries B

Collection 080

Series 2: Publicity Files. Subseries B: 1960s

SERIES SIZE: 97 folders; 5 oversize folders
SERIES DATES: 1960-1969 (bulk dates)

This series, arranged chronologically by decade, contains publicity materials related to Samuel Z. Arkoff's career as a film producer and distributor. Subseries B covers the 1960s. The bulk of the materials are newspaper clippings and magazine articles that Arkoff or a subordinate had collected; they are notable for the information that they include about Arkoff's many films in this decade. There are also stills and speeches that Arkoff made. The bulk dates of this subseries come from the 1960s, but runs of some materials from the late 1960s spill into the two decades after the 1960s; in observance of the principle of original order they were kept in this subseries.
