The William H. Hannon Library, its collections and services, are open to the public; however, after 8:00 pm, access to the library requires an LMU OneCard or a Visitor's Card.LMU alumni and Loyola Law School affiliates are encouraged to obtain a free LMU OneCard, which will allow access to the Hannon Library from 8:00 pm until midnight. After this time, if the library is open, only LMU affiliates (current students, faculty, and staff) are allowed in the building.Residents of the Westchester (90045), Playa Vista (90094) and Playa del Rey (90293) neighborhoods are eligible for similar access through a free Visitor's Card. To obtain a card, go to the Circulation Desk Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-7:45 pm, Saturday or Sunday 11:00 am-7:45 pm. A current photo ID or utility bill, with your name and address, will be required for proof of neighborhood residency.

Children, under high school age must be accompanied by a guardian or parent. High school students should have proof via school, photo ID. Parents are responsible for ensuring that children adhere to library policies.All visitors wishing to use the public computers should register at the Information Desk. Visitors, including LMU alumni, who wish to have more in-depth use of the library and its services, can consult the Circulation Desk at 310.338.5709, or view detailed information regarding borrowing privileges.
