Year 1 (May – Dec. 2023)
- Learned about, found, evaluated, and curated OER
- Developed project plan for years 2 and 3
Year 2 (Jan. – Dec. 2024)
- Designed and developed OER
Year 3 (Jan. – Dec. 2025)
- Reviewed, improved, and published OER
- Integrated the OER into one or more Fall courses and assessed their effectiveness
Year 4 No-Cost Extension (Jan. – Jun. 2026)
- Integrated the OER into one or more Winter/Spring courses and assessed their effectiveness
- Promoted the OER
Deliverable Requirements
Grant recipients were accountable for the following:
- Participated in a two-day virtual OER faculty workshop to connect with fellow grantees, learn the basics of OER, and discuss project ideas
- Met with the OER Librarian and OER Liaison from their institution to confirm project, timeline, and implementation plan
- Checked in with OER Librarian quarterly or more frequently as needed to report progress
- Met established deadlines for deliverables in order to receive annual grant payments
- Created OER for use in the proposed course or courses before fall 2025 that:
- Integrated or expanded concepts or principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and/or social justice into the course or discipline
- Used technology in service of inclusive pedagogical practices
- Published new or derivative OER under a Creative Commons license and adhered to W3C accessibility standards
- Worked with OER Librarian and OER Liaison to expand the reach of the project beyond home institution
- Shared any new or derivative OER in multiple OER repositories (e.g., Pressbooks, OER Commons, Merlot)
- Shared OER and/or promoted the project through disciplinary or professional networks
Agreed to participation in the grant and project output featured through the university, library, or other promotional venues
