Borrowing Renewals
Renew Online or Contact Us
Most items borrowed from the William H. Hannon Library can be renewed online. If you have any questions about online renewal, please contact the Circulation Desk at 310.338.5709.
Limitations on Online Renewals
Renewals online may not be possible if:
- You have overdue items.
- You have items that have been recalled by another patron.
- You have fine(s) owed.
- You have an Interlibrary loan (ILL) item. This can only be renewed with the approval of the originating library.
- You have a Popular Reading Collection book. These can only be renewed once (for a one week renewal period).
- You have an expired library account. Contact the Circulation Desk for assistance.
Instructions for Online Renewal
- To renew your library items, go to My Account (from the William H. Hannon Library website, you can find this option in the navigation menu) and log-in.
- You will see your loans and requests. You can "Renew all" or "Renew selected items" by checking the item box.
Guidelines for Online Renewals
- Academic Year Borrowers can renew items up to 90 days before their due date. Shorter-term borrowers can renew items any time before they are due.
- You can check your record online at My Account to make sure items are properly renewed. Contact the Circulation Desk for assistance.
- You can always print a copy of your renewed books or record the new due date for each book on the date due slip, or self-check receipt.
- If online renewal services are unavailable, you can try again later or bring the items to the Circulation Desk to renew them in person.
