Library Instruction
About Library Instruction
The library provides general and discipline-specific information literacy instruction, and instruction in our Department of Archives and Special Collections.
Information Literacy
In the fall of 2013 all new first-year students enrolled in the new Core Curriculum. This innovative program is embedded across each student's academic career: information literacy concepts are introduced in FYS (First Year Seminar), reinforced in Rhetorical Arts, and then enhanced within their major at least once at the sophomore level or higher. A new core curriculum afforded us the opportunity to create for the first time at LMU a comprehensive and sequential library instruction program truly integrated into the undergraduate curriculum.
